I just got a line on a 1988 Ford 4wd 1910 with loader - bush hog - box blade with good rubber and new clutch. But it needs a new engine. What am i facing with worst case senario of engine replacement - how much? My understanding is that it is a 3 cylinder diesel - parts availability? - maybe New Holland has parts?ThanksDoug

Parts are no problem available at any New Holland dealer. We just rebuilt a 1910 engine in our shop cost about 3500-4000.00 ....

According to TractorTips, the 1910 was made from 1982 to 1986. It was followed by the 1920 in 1987 which had a larger engine with a slight gain in weight. As was the 1900 and the 1920, it was made for Ford by Shibaura. The TractorTips specs for the 1910 was 103.9 cu.in. diesel, 12/4 gearbox, and weighs just a few pounds under 3,000. I had thought that the 1910 had an optional transmission, but TractorTips doesn't list one for the 1910, only the 1920. I have had no problems getting parts for my 1900 from my local New Holland dealer. Parts are not necessarily cheap, however. ....
